A Real Life Letter From A Man To His Wife On Their Wedding Day

Daydreaming of you isn't enough that I just had to call you mine.

A Real Life Letter From A Man To His Wife On Their Wedding Day
Scott Webb

Let's be honest. I have never been married. But I know what not only the guy but what the girl is thinking on their wedding day. Yes, it is a day full of joy and excitement but what are they thinking about the few days leading up to the big day, besides googling letter and vow samples. Here I present you with a real-life letter to what men and maybe some women are thinking on their holy day of matrimony.

Dear my loving fiance,

Today is the day. It has finally come. I hope it's as beautiful as you have hoped because my wallet seems significantly lighter. You were the best girlfriend I could find, so in turn, thank you for saying yes to becoming my wife. Not a lot of people can put up with my bullshit, but you can, my darling. We will just ignore the one time you threw my stuff on the lawn for not answering your phone calls or the one time you threw books at my head in hopes to make me smarter. But hey, we all get to be a little crazy. I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle in the gorgeous dress that resembles everything you are. I hope the grass doesn't stain the bottom of your dress. I know so much about you and you just hate grass stains but you're so good at doing laundry so I figure you can fix that right up.

Daydreaming of you isn't enough that I just had to call you mine. And knowing your mine keeps me significantly more busy at work. Less daydreaming means the boss yells less. My buddies have asked me if I'm scared or even terrified about what's to come but I think we make a good team. Yeah, I'm sure children will be stressful but we got this... I think. I know you will be a good mother and I promise I will TRY not to leave them at school but let's try out the "3 strikes you're out" game with that because you never know what could happen. You have dreamed of this since you were a small child, me, on the other hand, having night terrors the past 6 months but all worth it, right? Yeah, it should be great. Perfect, I hope.

Anyways, I love you with all my heart. Sometimes showing it can be hard but a barrier I enjoy overcoming daily to get to you. You are the smartest, most caring, and beautiful creature to walk this earth. I mean creature in more of a majestic being and less of a cyclops if ya know what I mean. I can't wait till I hear the words I do because then you're stuck with me! Just kidding but not really because you are stuck with me and I with you. Hopefully, this is a good idea! Let's do this!

Sincerely,

Your loving fiance (Soon to be husband)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
