"There are not enough hours in the day" is a saying you'll hear me say quite often. I'm that gal with the ambition to accomplish a hundred things in one day. Maybe a tad unrealistic, but some days I get pretty dang close to doing so! Other days, not so much...
When I do get a moment to myself, I find it extremely difficult to fit in reading. Because, let's be honest, once you get some downtime from a long day of work, all you wanna do is relax, eat, or sleep.
However, if you think about it, we are constantly listening. Why not optimize your downtime with Audible?
Audible has been my go-to for reading. I may not be actually reading, but I am still obtaining very useful information. What I enjoy most about audible is that I can take it anywhere with me.
You can take Audible with you on your daily commute to work. I know I spend at least an hour in my car going to and from work. If you do the math, that is basically an hour every day for 5 days a week. Think about how many books you can listen to in a matter of a month, let alone a year. That's a lot!
Nowadays, it's harder to dedicate the time to sit down and read. Audible allows you to multitask and fit reading into your schedule instead of you allocating time for it.
One of my favorite times to listen to Audible is at the gym. There's always a time to listen to music to get a good pump in or give you that adrenaline rush to push yourself past your limit. Yet, Audible is perfect to fit into your gym regimen. I listen to Audible when I'm doing cardio. Sure, I could easily be jamming out to Halsey's "Without Me" on loop or dedicating my time to my slightly unhealthy obsession of watching "Say Yes To The Dress," but I also have the option to listen to a self-help book on Audible that has the potential to impact my life tremendously.
I say give Audible a try. You'll realize how much easier it is to just pop your headphones in and listen to the soothing voice of an Audible narrator. If you're anything like me, you'll find yourself nodding to yourself in deep reflection, maybe a sigh of relief escapes past your lips because you feel reassured that you're not alone in your feelings, or you may be so enlightened by the information you've obtained that it becomes a conversation starter with others.
The bottom line is that we should always be striving to learn more. Education doesn't just stop. We must make a concerted effort to learn more about ourselves, our surroundings, the workforce, and more. This will ultimately enhance our performance in life. We may not have all the time in the world, but with Audible, we can fit in learning in places we'd least expect.
