Always Stay Humble And Kind

You can never judge a book by its cover.

If I see you struggle,

I'll help you.

If I see you need help,

I'll save the day.

If I see that you're hungry,

I'll help feed you.

If you need a jacket,

Take mine.

You see that young girl over there, cowered in the subway corner? This place is her only source of dry warm shelter. Give her a hand. Help her out so she doesn't view the world as the cold negative palace it really is.

See that man with his jacket in shambles? Order two 1$ coffees and hand him one. It might be the first thing warm he's had in over a week. He also needs to know that not everyone is a heartless wretch like the rest of the world.

That car behind you in the drive through, with the mother and her two kids scrambling the car for loose change? Pay their tab with yours, show them that there is a kind of Santa, although not the one they would expect.

If you shop thrift stores, help the elderly lady behind you with her purchase. This might be the first time in years that shes been able to afford warm clothes. Help her to her car, or wherever shes heading, she might not ever know what true help feels like.

-Maybe it's just my humble heart, maybe it's just my sensitive compassion...But everyone deserves to be helped in some way. I plan on taking action in a charity called pending coffee. Every time I go to the coffee place, I'll purchase two and only take mine. Then I'll tell the employees to save the other one until someone comes in and doesn't have enough money for their purchase or cannot afford it at all. Show the world just how kind we as humans can really be. It'll do us all some good to see humility in this world.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
