1. When someone asks if you are pregnant.
2. When you have an endless amount of clothes but nothing seems to fit right.
3. When your pants only fit properly while you're standing.
4. When you are constantly fighting the urge to relieve intestinal gases in public.
5. When you engulf ice cream because your self-confidence is low and your body image = BLAH.
Do you ever feel like a bloatation device? By bloatation device I mean; if you were to go swimming, the gas in your belly would keep you afloat. Just because you are bloated, does not mean you are fat. Technically, if you were fat, you would sink. If you are feeling bloated, just know that you are not alone. Bloating is something that people experience daily. Just to reassure you, I asked five people the following questions:
Have you ever been bloated? If so, how did you feel?
Michaela: “Being bloated just makes me feel fat and like none of my clothes fit.”
Chelsea: “I feel fat and just…EW.”
Abigail: “I feel fat and really uncomfortable in my own skin.”
Veronica: “Being bloated makes me feel big and lazy…like I don’t really want to do anything.”
Arianna: “It made me feel heavier and like I was retaining a bunch of water. Emotionally I felt less confident with myself.”
What do you think causes your bloatedness?
Michaela: “It happens when I’m on my period.”
Chelsea: “My period and eating too much.”
Abigail: “Overeating or I get it a lot when I’m on my period.”
Veronica: “Usually it’s either my monthly gift, if I eat a lot of dairy, or if I drink a lot of soda.”
Arianna: “Bad diet and my body needing more water.”
