The holiday season means that things we can't necessarily get our hands on all year make a comeback, whether it be your favorite drink or sweater that you love so much that you actually consider wearing it in the summer. I have my own assortment of holiday "things" that I spend the rest of the year counting down to, and while most of them are very basic, it's important to remember that there is beauty in simplicity.
Blanket scarves
There's nothing better that wrapping yourself in a scarf that could be the comforter for your bed. Not only are they warm, but you look like one of those cool people that get to walk the streets of New York every day. You know, the ones that hate you when you visit there.
Hot chocolate
Nothing beats hot chocolate during a brutal winter. My taste buds get so sick of apple cider and pumpkin after a while, so that first hot chocolate of the season helps me evolve into the holiday-obsessed person that I am.
Pillsbury sugar cookies- with the picture, of course
Why does a picture of a Christmas tree make a cookie taste that much better? I don't know, but it does. If anyone has the science behind this, please fill me in.
Holiday socks
During the holiday season, it's almost a guarantee that I'm sporting festive socks inside of my shoes. I feel like I'm making a difference when I wear them during this celebratory time.
Winter candles from Bath and Body Works
Yes, I am one of those people that has a mild candle obsession. Okay, it might be on the verge of severe, but you can't go wrong with these candles. Marshmallow Fireside is my absolute favorite, with Marshmallow Peppermint right behind it.
Menchie's Frozen Yogurt seasonal flavors
Menchie's is delicious on its own, but throwing in some festive flavors takes it to a whole new level. Spiced Gingerbread Cookie literally tastes like Christmas. I'm patiently waiting to try the peppermint bark flavor.
BOOMCHICKAPOP's holiday flavors
Who knew popcorn could become a delicious dessert? I could eat an entire bag of this stuff in one sitting. And maybe I know this because I have.
