You know you're from Seattle when you've grown up with rain, football, coffee, the Space Needle and the orcas and boats. Seattle is home from anyone. But here is a list on how you know you're from Seattle.

1. GO HAWKS!

You root for the Seahawks during football season and it's really exciting when you get into the playoffs. We have so much pride, people chant year long.

2. Blue Friday is a must

If you don't wear Blue on Blue Friday, are you even a fan?

3. You're still heartbroken over the Supersonics

4.You're happy Kevin Durant signed with Golden State then signing again with Oklahoma City Thunder

July 4, 2016 was a happy day for Seattle because Kevin Durant gained his independence from OKC Thunder

5. Starbucks

Did you know everyone's favorite coffee ship chain originated in Seattle? It;s been told Seattleite's drink more coffee than water. Grande Passion Tea Lemonade with extra ice please.

6. Baseball is fun and stressful in Seattle

We'll get into the playoffs, until we lose a couple of games

7. Your'e biased about your home stadiums

Ain't these stadiums beautiful?

8. The Apple Cup is the biggest battle of the year

You do root for the hawks, but when the apple cup happens it's either UW or WSU. Go Dawgs or Go Cougs, but at the end of the day Go Hawks!

9. You don't mind the rain

It's raining? I'm not wearing a jacket.

10. What jacket?!

You won't wear a jacket if it's raining outside. Never.... I promise.

11. Cinema Pride

When a TV show or movie setting is filmed in Seattle you feel like your city is Hollywood. However, they are hardly ever filmed exactly in Seattle (grey's anatomy, twilight, sleepless in Seattle. Where any of these celebrities actually in Seattle while filming?

12. The Space Needle

We've all been, it's the iconic spot for date night. The space-needle truly cannot disappoint.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
