There's two types of people in the world: dog people, and cat people. If you're like me, dogs are your entire life. Seeing a photo of someone's new puppy, or a cute video of a pit bull, can make your entire day. You probably sit at work or in class looking through cute pictures of your own pupper, counting down the minutes until you get to walk through the door and be greeted by a wagging tail. If you're a die-hard dog fan, you can relate to these, probably even on a daily basis.

1. Half of the pictures on your phone are of your own dog, or your friends' dogs.

2. You're a member of Facebook groups like Cool Dog Group or Dogspotting and you really don't mind that they clog your newsfeed with hundreds of dogs a day.

3. Though you don't like to admit it, you have cried over a cute dog before.

4. Free Adoption Days at your local animal shelter have you questioning how many dogs is too many.

5. You would swipe right on tinder if s/he has a dog.

6. You've familiarized yourself with the "Anatomy of a Corgi" meme

7. One of the most important questions on a first date is if they are a dog or cat person.

8. You pet every dog you see, even if that means being late to work, school, or a date with friends.

9. Being a professional dog walker doesn't sound like a bad job.

10. No matter how many cute dogs you may see every day, nothing beats the familiar cuddles and doggy breath of your own dog.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
