How You Know You Have Made Life Long Friends
Pam Wickham

Reminiscing on old pictures of my friends, I remember the night we were all together. As usual, the night was getting older, but the conversations seemed to be just as lively as when the sun was up. On my friend's couch, I sat quietly for a moment as I looked around the room. Their smiles made the room so much brighter. Their laughs were contagious. Their stories and jokes never ended. We were all content in our own little world. I thought... how lucky I am to call these people my friends.

Friendships come and go, but there are specific ones that never seem to fade. No matter how long one goes without talking or being a part of another's life, you know they will always be there when you return together. You will always come back to the familiar, spirited friendship that has always lingered in your heart.

Special bonds between friends develop over time. This time can be kind and cruel; hilarious and bitter; infuriating and delightful all at once. No one said it was ever going to be easy, but I wouldn't have wanted it any differently. Through the more challenging times, it has only added to the excitement and strength of this friendship. This bond will never be broken.

How do you know you have found "your people?"

You will never feel unwanted.

They WILL make the effort to spend time with you. Never will you feel left behind. You will always be right there next to them for the next crazy adventure. You will never have to fight or work for a special spot in their life- it will just happen without ever knowing or even working on the friendship.

There is an extreme level of comfortability.

It is a great possibility that things are WAY to comfortable, but that is the best part of close friendships. It can go from being able to sit in silence to blurting out whatever comes to mind. Nothing is weird at this point- laughing together like maniacs; dancing together like nobody is watching; going on insane adventures The most odd parts of you will be brought out.

They know your every need.

Sometimes without asking, you will find them at your doorstep. Whether you have big news, a bad day, or just need a friend, they will be there to celebrate, make you happier, and give you company. Your needs become their needs.

Laughing becomes uncontrollable.

This is the kind of laughing that leaves your abs sore. The kind of laughing that leaves you rolling on the floor. The kind laughing that calls for an entire box of tissues to wipe the joyful tears from your eyes. The kind of laughing that makes it hard to catch your breath. Laughing should come often and easily.

They will put loyalty first.

Most importantly, they will support you in every aspect of your life. They will never talk badly behind your back- instead, they will give it to you straight up. Trusting others is not always an easy thing to do, but you never hesitate to tell them your deepest thoughts. Your secrets will be locked away. The respect they have for you is clear in the way they care for you. You can feel it in your bones from your head to your toes.

It warms my heart to know I have been blessed with these wonderful people. Each one of them is unique and eccentric in their own way, yet they work in perfect harmony with my life. Without them, I would be lost. In the end, I know I will have these wonderful, crazy, kind, and perfect friends for the rest of my life. Watch out world.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
