When you know, you know.

Have you ever had a stranger walk into your life unexpectedly who decided to never walk out? Okay, that sounds creepy. But what I mean is, has anyone ever become a part of your life that you never expected to? Because I have and it is the greatest feeling. And after you meet them you think back to before you met them and think, "what was I doing without you?" Because that will happen. Not in a "I couldn't survive without you" in a kind of way, but more in a "you make my life better" kind of way.

I had no idea what people were talking about when they said you'll know what love is when you meet that special someone. I didn't think that it could ever happen to me. But the question I always asked myself when I heard people say that is, "how can one person make that big of an impact on me?" But they can, and they did. But how do you know? Well, that's the easy part.

You know:

When you start watching the same shows as them because you like the idea of sharing something with them. Even if it's something small, like a Netflix show.

When you realize that all you want to do is silly stuff together just to be able to spend time together. things like walking around a mall all day and going into every store just to figure out what each other likes and trying to get a better look into their life and their personality. You even come up with little games to play around each store. you might feel like you're five, but that's the best part.

When you look forward to going to bed each night because you're excited to wake up to your person the next morning. Their morning smile is all you need to start your day off right.

When you can sing as loud as you want in the car together and have a single worry about embarrassing yourself with your terrible voice because they don't care either. You can eve try out a couple rap verses and completely butcher them, but they love you that much more for it.

When you know that in the future you want them by your side holding your hand.

When your person will try new things because they know how badly you want to do them and even if they're a little nervous, they will still do it because it would make you happy.

When your person will share intimate details with you about their lives and let you know how important you are to them. They will never go a day without telling you.

And when you can look into their eyes and know that they want to be exactly where they are with you as badly as you want to be their with them.

That's how you know. That's how you know you've found your person.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
