Fall Arts Guide

Though October first has come and passed, this autumn feeling will surely last. To celebrate month number ten I’ve compiled a list once again. Each letter of this month’s name has its own claim to fame. Without further ado, let me share some signs of October with you!

O - Overwhelming sensation of pumpkin spice-- you'd think it would get old, but it always stays nice.

C - Coziness all around. Sweaters, scarves, and hot cider abound.

T - Twirling and whirling, leaves fall through the air leaving the trees dismally bare.

O - Old houses turn into a spooky sight as they get ready for Halloween night.

B - Back-to-school season is well underway, with more work piling up every day.

E - Everything is Halloween from now on, especially any movies that are on.


R - Random people jump out and say BOO! Don't worry, they'll get scared eventually, too!

I don’t know why I've decided to rhyme, but haven’t we had such a great autumn-themed time? Happy October one and all, and I hope you have a fantastic fall!

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
