In the fall of 2015 and even still in the new year of 2016, flannels have taken over the fashion industry; they have been dressed up and dressed down. Everyone has their own way of wearing their favorite article of clothing, but what does that say about your personality? For every guy and girl, there is a personality that accompanies the type of flannel and the way that a person wears it. Here are a few ways you might wear them and see what it says about your personal style!

Artsy:

If you wear a flannel open with a cute tank, rock boots and funky glasses, you are totally an artistic soul. You have a quiet side and are sensitive. You enjoy life and want to have fun with friends doing wild activities (like finding the perfect picture to put on Instagram); but you have another side -- you have a secretly powerful heart.

Hipster/Indie:

If you tie your flannel around your waist or wear it open with an awesome graphic tee, and wear a beanie, you have a hipster vibe about you! Hipsters know what's up, they are always lookin' good and have a good time. They are creative, empathetic, and eccentric. Having a unique thinking pattern, you can come up with new things that nobody else would do or think of.

Edgy:

Ripped jeans, sunglasses, chunky boots, and your favorite flannel...does this sound like you? If this is you, you have a fashion edge that your friends wish they had. Your personality sparks the room with interesting stories and events; you also like to take risks that nobody else would. You
are somewhat rebellious, but don't worry. Rebellion means you are not afraid to blaze your own trail and do things independently. You are tough and can take care of yourself, but don't forget to rely on friends!

Fashionista:

If you look at pins on Pinterest about how to wear a flannel, you are a fashionista. You want to find out how to wear it and look good; this could be done by wearing a scarf, some leggings and boots, or adding a statement necklace. You find ways to dress flannel up in a way nobody else can. You can be the life of the party with your somewhat sassy attitude. You also pick up fashion statement pieces from other personalities which means that you aren't afraid to embrace difference and change. Trendy shoppers are always looking at stores for more ways to wear their favorite article of clothing.

Preppy:

You are a total fashion prep if you wear flannel and vests. You want to look put together, warm and classy. Well-made and well-fitting clothes are your forte. You are smart, but preppy isn't so much a trait as it is a lifestyle. You want to look responsible in all situations.

For the guys, it is pretty much the same. Hipster guys go for the same staple items: red/black plaid, khakis, beanies, and maybe some facial hair. Edgy guys go for more the snapback hats, skinny jeans (ripped), and some graphic tees. Guys that wear a vest and some dock shoes with their flannel outfits can most times have the preppy style.

Regardless of the style that one might have, flannels are one of the most versatile articles of clothing young people have in their wardrobes today. They can be cozy, remind you of your significant other, or just be a fashion statement. People love wearing them, tying them, dressing them up, and staying in and watching Netflix in them. Here's hoping that flannel will stay in the fashion industry for years to come. Thanks for keeping us classy, preppy, artsy, edgy and hipster; thanks for making our personalities shine.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
