It is that time of year again and I do not mean the holidays! I mean deer season! My boyfriend and I deer hunt a lot together — it is one of our favorite hobbies. Two weekends ago, I go home to see him. Well, we were sitting on the couch after eating dinner and one of his friends called. My boyfriend proceeds to say that he needs our help, usually this means building a chicken coop or doing something manly and me sitting there "supervising." This night was different. He needed us to help him track a deer! I was not prepared so I was in leggings and Crocs. We were searching for this deer in a hug brier patch. Needless to say, I got an article idea while searching for this deer.

How many times do we go searching for "the one?" We look for that special guy and track him down. This is just like deer tracking. We search for the hints or blood until we find the prize winner. A lot of times we search and search and the deer has already run away or gone onto someone else's land. This is like the people who are not for us. They are not "the one." No matter how hard we try to make them be. Often, they break our hearts and run away. Other times — rare times we find the deer. We find it and it is willing to give itself to us. To provide for us and care for us in a way the other deer couldn't. Do you see this resemblance?

The deer is the person we are looking for. If the deer is dead, it provides care and nourishment for you just as a significant other can. When we search too long for the deer and spend all our time on it to find it is gone, we have nothing. But if we use the hints to find it, we are successful! You see God leads us to the right people. We may have a bump in the road or a patch of old blood but He always leads us the right way! God always provides the people we need in our lives. We may choose wrong a couple times and spend so much time searching, but if we just follow the trail we will be lead to "the one."

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
