This past week I've had the pleasure of being in New York, surrounded by a variety of museums. We spent two days in the Met and still didn't come close to finishing it. While not everyone appreciates art in the same way, there's an opportunity to have a little fun in almost any museum. The key is to have friends willing to look ridiculous and a decent phone camera.
All you have to do is find a statue or painting that has character and mimic it. Here are some examples.
Of course these imitations are up for interpretation. It makes things a lot more fun and original.
Make sure you have good lighting, otherwise all your hard work is for nothing.
You also don't have to copy them exactly. Nakedness is not exactly socially acceptable in public museums.
You can also do this with paintings.
Or you could react to paintings.
Honestly, it's completely up to you. Just make sure to post your photos. Who knows, the museum may retweet you.
