The holiday season is now in full-swing. This means long lines at the grocery store, no parking at the mall, and spending endless amounts of time bargain hunting. With the holiday season also comes time for family, friends and some good laughs. Holidays can be times for tradition and spending time with that special someone. Weather you're looking at Christmas lights together, or playing gift games, all that matters is that you are together for the holiday season.
1. Stores are completely wrecked
As a previous retail worker, this was always awful. I could never understand how people could completely destroy displays and the store.
2. Trying to find parking
The average day of running to the stores quickly for a few items during the holiday season is like getting a root canal. Good luck trying to find parking anywhere.
3. Christmas music, Christmas music everywhere
Every radio station and every store, constantly playing Christmas music from Thanksgiving right up until December 26.
4. Christmas movies
My FAVORITE part to the holiday season is Freeform (formally known as ABC Family) 25 Days of Christmas.
5. Decorations
Need a date idea? Drive through neighborhoods and look at the beauty of Christmas lights.
6. Ugly Sweaters
Walk into a store: Ugly Sweater display- with some of the most awful festive shirts I have ever seen. Ugly sweater parties are a chance to have fun and be festive at the same time. Plus it's fun to see who has the ugliest sweater.
7. Family
During the holiday season, my family always makes sure to do many things together. From dinners, to seeing the tree in NYC, my family gets together a lot for many different things during the holiday season.
8. Gingerbread festivities
I love minions, so finding this minion gingerbread kit was just luck. It was a blast to put together and it gave my boyfriend and I something to do one night (and spend time together).
9. Gift games
Secret Santa, dirty Santa, grab bag; whatever gift game you play with your friends, family or coworkers, it's still a lot of fun.
10. Endless planning
If you're anything like me, you plan things way in advance. I had half of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving. From making wishlists, to buying presents, to even planning and buying food to cook for dinner, everything involves a plan and the holidays call for extra planning.
