How to Strengthen Faith in God?

As we move deeper into the holiday season, many of us are left wondering how to Strengthen Faith in God. After all, this is a time of celebration and joy, a time for giving and receiving gifts as well as receiving blessings from above and from our friends and loved ones. How can we best utilize all that Christmas has to offer in order to strengthen our faith?

One answer is to make every effort possible to be "active" in our faith. What does this really mean? It means that we should not sit idly by when opportunities come our way, but actively participate in our faith. How can we strengthen our faith in God when we sit by and do nothing at all?

The first step is to make time for ourselves. There is something wonderful about this concept. It makes sense that we are to be busy with ourselves in order to excel. If we allow ourselves to be busy at work, then we will find that we have more time at home with our families. It also means that we will have more time to enjoy those things that we truly love and cherish.

That brings us to another idea. That idea is that we must give to ourselves first. It would not make sense to spend all of our money at a charity or to buy ourselves a new wardrobe when there are things we can do right now that will give us more joy and more money. We must be the one to ask ourselves first if we need to purchase something or spend money.

Another idea is to read the Bible. Read each chapter several times. Each morning read something for a minute or two. At least once per day to read the Bible and talk about what you are reading. This will help you understand what it is you are reading and how it applies to your life. This will enable you to see situations in the Bible that may seem to oppose the Word of God and you can begin to learn how to read them the Word of God and how they should be handled.

The third idea is to pray. There are so many people that pray the night before they go to sleep. They are so focused on the idea of thanking God for whatever they need to do for them the next day that they don't stop to think about asking for His help in their life. It is important for us to realize that the only one who can answer our prayers is God. If we put our faith in someone else, then we really have no faith. That is why it is so important to learn how to strengthen faith in God by just asking for Him and believing that He will help us.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
