This is a response to the article, "11 Ways To Be More Productive In Your Everyday Life."

As a young multipotentialite woman who loves and wants to do a lot in her life, I love staying productive. I want to do so much in my life before I die. Life is too short and world is too wide to not thrive in. However, sometimes, it can be hard to stay productive with so many things going on that I have to do and and also, as a news junkie, keeping up with the never ending news worldwide.

I sometimes over work myself just to meet people's expectations, whether if it's at work or when I'm volunteering or writing. I know this isn't good and sometimes I feel burnt out to the point where I don't want to do anything. As I get older, I want to prioritized my mental health more and take care of myself. I realized that I need to put myself first before anything else.

I like how the author listed prioritized self-care and schedule relaxation as a part of their "11 Ways To Be More Productive In Your Everyday Life." I never thought that those two things would be make someone more productive. Now that I think about it, relaxing and prioritizing yourself are what help you make yourself more productive. Taking breaks from reality is needed to reenergized yourself.

I'm trying to take breaks more, especially when I'm working. I usually go for one hour lunch breaks. I also workout everyday to stay in shape, especially since I'm at my desk for nearly 10 hours a day. I love to go for walks, dance, lift weights, and do cardio exercises. When I'm not working, I watch whatever is on Netflix or watch silly Tik Toks as a way to destress and ignore reality for a bit. Sometimes, I do consider writing as a way for me to destress since I'm putting my thoughts down on paper. I love to express myself and I do consider this and dance to be outlets for me to escape from everything.

Getting older does not mean you need to work and stay productive 24/7. It's okay to take sometime away from reality in order to become your best self and become more proactive when tackling work or solving any issues. I'm still trying to embrace that because life is not all about work. Life is about learning about yourself, exploring the world around you, and trying out new things you've never done before. I have to say that's productivity.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
