How To Stay Organized

I stress out very easily and I have learned many skills and techniques that have helped me stay more organized to avoid the problems and situations that stress me out the most. People are busy with so many activities and events going on in their lives added in with plenty of responsibilities that are happening in our busy lives. Also, there is only so much time in the day to accomplish all that a person wants, so making sure all of those things get done in a timely manner will affect your mental health.

First, I try to stay organized by writing down my schedule every week as well as inputting my alarms and appointments in my Alexa based on each day of the week. This helps me know what I need to accomplish each day whether it is calling to make appointments, working on homework hitting the gym, going to work, or cleaning the house. People are busy and time is a crucial thing, so many people need to stay organized to avoid being stressed and forgetting to handle their activities.

Next, planning out when to do my homework is important because I try to make sure I am always ahead on my assignment that way if I fall behind one week then I will still be safe. I also try to stay ahead on writing my articles and being sure I am always ahead.

We all have to go to the doctor or dentist and of course getting our car worked on and other appointments, so I always try to make them for my days off that way I am not crammed on the same day as work. I also try to plan out doing fun activities in advance, so I make sure I have off work and my school assignments are turned in for the week.

I try to have a consistent workout routine to give myself plenty of time to get rest in between my days off from the gym and try to make sure I have a consistent time each week on days where I do not have work because that makes me more wanting to go to be active for a day, and gives me plenty of time to enjoy it. I try to work out from home a little or play basketball to make sure I stay active every day to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

A person needs to have strong health mentally and physically in order to live a happy life with the least amount of stress possible. Stress is not completely avoidable, but there are many tips a person can use to generate less stress and be happy to accomplish their dreams. I recommend these tips as well as working on some new ones that work for you to be able to organize your life and have it in order to live it to the fullest.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
