Finally, FRIDAY!

Some weeks can seem long, like the weekend may never come. Mondays are hard, and Tuesdays always drag on. Wednesdays aren't so bad until you remember you still have a day in between you and Friday. Then there is Thursday, it is such a tease. Finally, FRIDAY!

I have learned that appreciating what each day brings seems to make those weekdays fly by.

Here is how I stay motivated each day of the week...

Mondays If you’re like me, getting out of bed Monday morning is one of the worst moments of the week. Although there is probably no cure for that, I have found that goal setting on Mondays is just the trick. Write or text out what you want to accomplish this week. Write down work goals, fitness goals, and even meal plans. Add in any fun events or activities coming up that week or weekend too that keep you looking forward on a positive note. Not only does this keep you motivated, it can make your life a little simpler too.

Tuesdays Oh Tuesday, why do you feel like just another Monday? This is the weekday that tends to get busy. Take time for you! Order in, get a mani/pedi, just do something for yourself. Taking a step out of that stressful day and having time to yourself will help you remain positive. If you are a taco lover, Tuesdays may just be your favorite day. Don't forget, tomorrow is Hump Day!

Wednesdays Wine Wednesday anyone? I like to change things up on Wednesdays. Whether it is a different workout class, or making a meal I've never tried, Wednesday is in the middle of the week, so make it special. Plan a night with friends to binge watch some shows or go check out a new hotspot in town. This is the best day of the week to checkout events in your area! You would be surprised of all the things that go on Wednesday nights. Also, you are halfway through your weekdays, cheers to that!

Thursdays Oh Thursdays, you are such a tease, but we love you anyways. So close, yet so far from Friday night. I choose to smile a lot on Thursdays. Call a friend or family and just chat. Catch up with someone or meet someone for lunch. Allow yourself to be on a high on Thursdays, it sets you up for a really positive weekend.

Fridays TGIF! Get your Friday outfit on and at some point during your day, take time to do something nice for someone else. Feel good going into your Friday night. If you can, allow yourself 30 minutes on Friday before the school or work day ends to start brainstorming of what is coming up next week. Then erase it from your head and wait till your Monday morning list to think of it all again. You will be able to enjoy yourself much more on the weekend if you do that.

YOU MADE IT!

Weekends can sometimes get crazy too, so just remember to take a little time for yourself on Saturday and Sundays, you deserve it!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
