It is finally upon us, yes you guessed it, finals. That stressful week where students all across America cram information into their little heads just to get an A on an exam. It is stressful and exhausting. But there is hope. Here are a few tips about how you can prepare before it is to late.

1. Sleep.

Sleep is a very important thing. For people our age research suggests 7-9 hours.

2. Eat Healthy.

For the week before finals and the week of finals try to stay away from junk food. Although we all love and eat our fair share of junk food, it only hurts your body during this time of the semester.

3. Enjoy The Weather While It Lasts

We all know how Minnesota weather is.One day it is 70 and sunny the next it is negative four degrees and all you want to do is curl up in a blanket. While you have the time remember to go outside and enjoy the nice weather. Use this time to take breaks from studying and enjoy the outdoors before it is to late.

4. Start A New Netflix Show And Finish It Before Finals.

Some suggestions for this are "Bones", "Greys Anatomy", and "Gossip Girl". Start these shows now and finish before finals, that way they are out of sight and out of mind, thus enabling you to begin finals week with a mind set that is ready to conquer that dreadful week ahead.

5.Visit Family.

Family always relieves stress. They can help you work through your problems and figure out life.

6. Make A Stress Ball.

This video is so awesome! I am excited to make this to help with my stress.

7. Cry A Little.

It never hurts to cry a little. This helps relieve stress. It also helps to move forward and clear your head.

8. Find Your Space.

Mine is my room. Some people like a chubby in the library, while others like places like the Smaug. What ever your space is make sure it is relaxing and comfortable.

9. Pay Attention In Class.

If you don't understand what this means, I cannot help you this soon to finals. Message me next semester.

10.Find Friends Whom Possess The Same Knowledge As You Do Or Whom Are Smarter Than You Are.

If you can find friends who are smarter or as smart as you, you can form a study group and bounce ides off of each other. This will help each person in the group with their studying habbits and in the end you all will more than likely have a better chance of acing your finals.

11. Last But Not Least, I Guess You Can Study.

If none of these things work to help you with finals, I guess you can study. Obviously this is the better of the options, but the other ten are a lot of fun. If I were you I would try them first.

Good luck and do not forget...

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
