We've all been there. Rumors get spread about what you did at the frat house last weekend, even though you were in your PJs on a Saturday night watching Netflix. Long story short: people love to mingle themselves into your life even if you don't want them to. I'll admit it, I like to stay updated on people who don't necessarily care for me, but I know where the boundaries are in regards to minding my own business. Here's a few tips that I've adapted over the years that are actually really helpful!

1. Try not to be involved in a conversation that doesn't involve you

I know this can be hard for some of us, but with a little practice I'm positive you can achieve this!!

2. If you find that you have to intervene, make sure that it's really necessary

Does this possibly affect you? Your friend? Your mom? Dog? Maybe in those cases you should step up and say something, but if it doesn't involve anything serious and is just purely gossip... then you should probably just ignore that conversation and move on with your day. Like this picture of T-Swizzle and Kanye above.. if you don't need to intervene, just smile and be pretty like Kim Kardashian.

3. If you do hear something that is kind of important and could hurt you or others, confront the people you heard it from first before making a big deal

After all, there's multiple sides to every story. What you heard of was just a little snippet of a conversation that could be nothing related at all to what the conversation was actually about. Ultimately, the conversation should probably stay between the people involved.. not between you and whoever you tell afterwards.

4. Just be respectful and give people their privacy

In the end, whatever someone says to someone else doesn't concern you at all. We all eavesdrop, but just be respectful and try not to do it and forget about it.

I

remember when I was 13 my teacher told me that whatever someone says about you is none of your business. At first I thought that was a stupid piece of advice, but as I've grown older I've come to cherish it. Even though some of the things said can be hurtful, we all have to learn to grown up, live our lives, and not care what others opinions are. Do you, booboo.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
