How To Make Your Own Glitter Glow Jar

Do you enjoy glitter and twinkle lights like me? Want a cool way to decorate your room? Or how about a DIY present for a friend that is thoughtful but not too expensive? Here is an idea for you! Make these cool glitter glow jars that are super calming and beautiful!

What you'll need:

A mason jar (any size)

Glitter (as many colors as you'd like, I'd recommend at least 2 options)

Glue (good ol' Elmer's glue will do just fine!)

A paint brush (one you don't mind tossing after you finish the project)

A small tea light or string lights (make them battery operated!)

Step 1

Unscrew your mason jar and paint a light coat of glue on the insides of your jar with your paint brush. It doesn't have to be perfect but remember, anywhere you put glue, the glitter will stick!

Step 2

Take your first color of glitter and pour some in your mason jar. Screw the lid back on and shake the jar well. You'll see the glitter start to spread and cover the walls of the jar.

Step 3

Unscrew the lid and pour your second color of glitter inside. Repeat Step 2 and shake the glitter around the jar, making sure to slide the glitter to spots that are missing some. You can continue this process if you want to use multiple glitter colors.

Step 4

Let the jar dry for a few hours. Once the insides of the jar are dry, you can place your tea light inside. If you use string lights, you can tape the battery pack to the top of the mason jar lid to secure it.

You now have a personalized, pretty glitter glow jar! Enjoy!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
