We see them every day, buzzing around from flower to flower. You can hear the buzz of their wings before you even see them. Then you notice the familiar yellow and black striped friend flying around, going about their day. I was sitting on my back porch when this situation happened to me. As I watched this new found friend fly around I realized that the there is so much to learn from the humble, bumble bee.
Create a buzz.
No matter where this roller coaster of a life takes you make sure that you are having fun. Be safe as you are exploring but do not be afraid to try new things, create a buzz in your home, community or state. Spark life into something that has fallen behind in the hustle and bustle of this new era. Try new things, even though they may be scary, you can finally see what the “buzz is all about”.
Sip life’s sweetest moments.
We live in a world that is constantly going, hardly giving us a time to slow down. From the moment we are born we are taught to stay busy, constantly improving so much that we forget to live in the moment. So the next time you go to drink your cup of coffee as you run out the door, stop for a brief moment and actually enjoy it. Let the aroma fill the air and part of your soul. I know I constantly find myself running around like a chicken with my head cut off that I forget to enjoy what I’m doing. So hold on to those moments that bring you joy. Drink them up like you would a cold glass of sweet tea on a hot summers day and enjoy the sweet moments of life.
Mind your own beeswax.
Sometimes we find ourselves put into a situation where you look around and wonder, “what in the world am I doing here?” In life there will be times where it is better for you to stay in your own yard instead of worrying about what your neighbor is doing. So tend to your own honeycomb and make it the most extravagant, sweet one that you can, but be sure to make it your own. If you mind your own business, life will be as smooth as honey.
Bee yourself.
I think that one of the most important things that you can be in this world is yourself. So what if you’re awkward or like ketchup in your mac-n-cheese. That just adds on to the awesome list of factors that make you, you. Be an original in a world of copy cats and watch how you’ll inspire others to do the same. In high school I thought I had to fit the typical mold society placed on me, until I reached college. This is where I realized that it’s OK to wear a cat shirt to class and if someone doesn’t like it, well that’s their opinion and I may disagree. One thing is for sure though; I’m gonna stay me, and if that means rocking a pug shirt to a family dinner then hey, all you can do is love me and accept me because I already have and so should you.
