How To Make Fun Of A Business Major

It’s no secret that college students majoring in business are some of the most made-fun-of people on campus. Being a business major myself, I have had more than my fair share of my friends poking fun at my major. But truthfully, only business majors know the proper way to make fun of business majors. So, if you’re going to make fun of us, take a minute to read over these pointers before doing so.

1. Point out how easy their classes are.

Be sure to mention how business class are entirely different from any other field, and how business majors are required to take rigorous courses in economics, finance, accounting, management, and more. Also point out that if you took any elective in high school having to do with business or marketing in high school, it was no “easy ‘A’” course.

2. Mention how little people have become successful by studying business.

Which explains why so many corporations and small businesses thrive and are what make up an extremely large portion of the United States economy.

3. Mention how useless having knowledge of business is.

Especially since it’s the number one major in the United States chosen by undergraduates, and how, even many who choose a different path of study still choose to minor or double-major in business, because almost everything, from schools, to convenience stores, to hospitals are businesses.

4. Point out how poorly business majors will be able to handle their finances.

Because it only makes sense that those who are taught valuable financial skills would be the ones to make poor financial decisions later in life.

5. Point out how lazy and incompetent business majors are.

Because instead of skipping class, constantly partying, or watching Netflix, we spend countless late nights at the library studying, and building our resumes. Because being responsible, in some way, for the success of either a large corporation or a small business takes such effort and hard work.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
