College has taught me an array of interesting life lessons. One of those being that once the temperature drops under 50 degrees, fashion flies out the window. While it may be easy to slip on a comfy pair of PJ pants and boots, I hope to inspire you to try something new. I have put together some fairly comfortable yet chic outfits that you can try to incorporate this fall and winter. Take college as an opportunity to try something new, especially when changing up your style.
1. Dinner Date
During the summer it would have been easy to throw on a sundress for a dinner date, but now you have to be more creative. This outfit is fantastic because the coat serves as the statement piece. The rest of the outfit is comfortable and neutral, so that it can be paired with other outfits down the road. The headband adds just a hint of sparkle for an evening look.
2. Night in the City
There are not many times in life that you can get away with a black slip dress and heels. However, slip dresses are trending and wearing them in black velvet instantly creates a soft, luxurious, and romantic look. While this outfit is not for everyday, it is perfect for an evening out.
3. Monday Morning
I hate Monday morning as much as the next person. However, dressing for success can lead to a more productive week. So throw on this beautiful jacket and dress for a gorgeous autumnal look.
4. Sunday Coffee
Everyone loves the idea of wearing boots that are as comfy as slippers. Instead of throwing on a pair of leggings and worn UGG boots, step up your look. Puffers are trending this season and cool leggings will look fantastic with this refined version of the classic UGG boot.
5. Holiday Break
When you travel home for the holiday, make sure to have some adorable and comfy options to wear. This sweater dress and over sized jacket are perfect for a drink or dinner with friends. The holiday season is always a cloudy time of year so don't be afraid to try out some different colors in your look to brighten it up.
