Here's a list of how to keep your dogs cool:
1. Keep a kiddie pool full of cold water in the shade. This keeps the fur, and the dog, cool.
2. Lay down a wet towel on the floor for your dog to lay on.
3. Remember to give your dogs cool water to drink. Dogs can get dehydrated too!
4. Take your dogs outside early in the morning or late at night to avoid the hottest parts of the day.
5. Keep their fur cut short. Matted fur can overheat really easy.
6. Keep your dog's paws off of hot surfaces. If it's too hot for your feet, it's too hot for your dog's feet.
7. Be on the lookout for the symptoms of heat stroke. The symptoms of heat stroke in dogs are: heavy panting, glazed eyes, dehydration, vomiting, muscle tremors, and dizziness.
Remember: A cool dog is a happy and safe dog.
