How To Incorporate Neutrals Into Your Wardrobe
Hit Outfit

Though it can be exciting to follow the ever-changing ebb and flow of fashion trends and styles, we all can appreciate investing in some classic, neutral pieces that will go with any outfit. Neutrals may seem boring at first, but they are incredibly versatile, classic, and really make your statement pieces pop.

Browns, greys, beiges, black and even metallics like silver and gold are all considered neutral colors that you can pair with pretty much anything. My go-to neutral shade is different depending on the purpose.

For clothes, I LOVE a beige sweater. The warm color paired with rich wool or cotton is just such a comfort item for me. I usually pair a beige sweater with a pair of distressed jeans, a t-shirt or tank top, and either converses or a bold colored pump depending on how dressy I’m feeling. I also love any pairing of champagne and gold with clothes or shoes.

The majority of my accessories are either oyster or gold. The pinky-beige of oyster goes with any and everything while adding a girly flare. I usually prefer this color for handbags and shoes. With jewelry, I always “go for the gold.” I find that the yellow or champagne shades of gold pair better with my go-to color schemes for outfits than silver, but if you frequently wear bold colors, silver may be the best for you.

I recently stocked up on some neutral shoes, handbags and other accessories that I’m going to share with you! I’m also including some other neutral-toned items that I like as well.

Chic Shoes

I’m so excited about these gladiator sandals. These Sam Edelman sandals are perfect to wear all summer and even into those hotter fall days. The leather straps and gold detailing make this pair an instant go-to neutral shoe. Check them out here! They come in lots of neutral and bold colors!

Steve Madden incorporates the tassel trend in these lovely wedges. This style is great because it can be dressed up or down. When worn with a dress or white jeans and a blouse, these wrap-around wedges are sure to pump up your more formal side. If you wear them with some boyfriend shorts or distressed jeans, you’ve got yourself a comfy and classy wedge that blends to your skin tone to create the illusion of longer legs. You can check out the various shades here.

These stunning wedges pair well with any outfit. The cutouts create a beautiful design while also adding texture. They are a bit expensive, however, the quality is exceptional and they are extremely versatile. Check them out here! They also come in black!

Haute Handbags

I love the scallops and cutouts on this bag! I have a brown bag that is very similar that I got a few years back. Even though the bag isn’t a name brand, I will say that mine has held up very well considering the heaving books and technology I’ve put in it over the years. The quality of these totes is great, especially for the price. This tote comes in a variety of neutrals and is perfect for the beach or shopping. Check it out here.

Check out this cross body that pairs neutral colors and gold! I recently bought a similar style in oyster and I am obsessed with it! It’s a perfect size and blends well with my spring and summer colors. Sometimes it’s great to have a small bag like this for quick shopping trips or going out to eat when you only need the essentials like your wallet and phone. Check it out here.

If you love color blocking, this modern bag is for you! This chic cross body features pink and ecru with gold accents. Check it out here!

Exquisite Earrings

I am totally crushing on these tassel earrings. As I mentioned earlier, I am a huge fan of gold tones so I for sure love the combo of the trending style with the gold color. Check out these beauties here!

Neutral accessories and clothes are truly a good investment because of their versatility. They pair well with all skin tones, enhance your beauty without being overbearing, and can be worn in any season.

I hope this was helpful, now go take advantage of all the great neutrals out there this season!

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

One of the scariest things we will ever face in our life is going to college. Many of us move away to a new town, join new organizations, and make new friends. We are expected to study, have a social life, relationships, maybe work, and be healthy. It seems pretty easy to do, and in high school all we wanted to do was graduate and move on to this next chapter of our lives. If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
