Gosh, isn't your crush AWESOME? They're just so cool, funny, and great in general that you're thinking, "how in the world am I going to speed up the process and get them to like me back?!" Well, stop stressing because they won't be just your "crush" for long: just follow these 8 tips on how to help win them over. Honestly, you cannot go wrong.

1. Imitation: it's the best form of flattery, so do it.

Isn't your crush something special? To really give them a hint about how you feel, just start doing and wearing exactly what they do! It will for sure grab their attention and make them feel extremely flattered, too. Your crush won't be able to stop thinking about you after they see you wearing the same exact outfit and acting the same way they are - but why stop there? Get your hair to look just like theirs too! After that, they'll definitely start noticing you more.

2. Be casual and awesome

You don't want to come off as clingy or too attached so whatever you do, whenever you see them, drop your backpack, your books and whatever else you have on you and just start sprinting in the other direction, even if they already saw you. You don't want them to think you were waiting to run into them or something stalker-ish like that so you have to play it cool. And if they text you later, don't respond for hours - or just don't respond at all! It makes you look casual and awesome, and your crush will think "wow, this person is so casual and awesome".

3. Laughter is key

If you must be in a situation where they're around and you're forced to make conversation, then after everything that they say, LAUGH. OUT. LOUD. You don't want them to feel bad about themselves, or think that you're just some stick in the mud, do you? Of course not. So, after every sentence they say, (or even randomly in the middle of a sentence to show that you're a spontaneous human being), just laugh like you've never heard anything funnier. Even if it's not an out-right funny thing they're saying. It's just a big confidence boost for them, and they'll find you insanely charming because of it, too.

4. Flirt with their best friends.

Get really close with their best friends. It'll show them that you can get along with their group and they'll know that there won't be a problem when you're dating. Get as cuddly and flirty with their friends as possible - date the whole gang! The more dramatic actions, the better results.

5. Insult their music.

Again, if you must be in a room with them, ask them to play some music - but once it starts playing just get into an absolute frenzy, fall into the fetal position with your hands clasped tightly over your ears like it physically hurts you, all while just tearing apart their music choices. Your crush will be surprised because you're so honest and aren't just someone who pretends to like music, or is exactly like them. You are an honest person and they'll be happy to know that because honesty is important in a loved one.

6. Baby talk is the new dirty talk: use it.

This doesn't just apply to females - guys are also so much more attractive when they use their baby voice. It's cute, sweet, and a little seductive. Your crush will see you in a whole other light that they will never be able to un-see.

7. Steal from them.

It's like the adult-version of playing hide & seek with your crush on the playground in elementary school. Basically, just take a bunch of stuff from their room and just hide it in yours - their pencils, their clothes, or even their laptop and money. It creates a playful vibe in your relationship that every good couple has!

8. Let them know that you're not interested in them.... at all.

Play hard to get! It's the best way to really get them thinking about you. Just let them know that you'd never ever, ever, ever, ever date them even if you were the last two people on the planet because their disgusting. It will drive them crazy how hard to get you play and it'll only make them want to pursue you even more.

Just follow those 8 helpful tips and you've got your crush in the bag! There is a 100% success rating and I guarantee that you will sweep any cutie that you're looking at right off of their feet. So on that note, put your phone down and happy significant other catching!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
