How To Fill Out A March Madness Bracket

Not only is March one of the best months of the entire year, it's also the season for college basketball tournaments. On Mar. 15, 2016, the first round of the NCAA Tournament starts at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio. Only 68 teams will be chosen for Selection Sunday to represent themselves in the tournament, and then they dwindle down all the way down to the Final Four, the last two teams in the National Championship, and the team that wins the National Championship. In other words, March Madness is upon us.

To help keep track of all of these teams for each year, millions of people from across the country fill out March Madness brackets. For those of you guys who have never filled out a March Madness bracket before, here is a tutorial as to how to fill one out:

1. Print out your bracket

You can print out a March Madness bracket from many different websites. I would recommend printing one out from websites like ESPN, CBS Sports or the official NCAA website.

2. Pick which teams that you think will advance to the next round

It's good to pick the teams with the better records and place them in the Final Four. However, that's not always the better case. Which leads me to my next point...

3. Pick a few upsets

Upsets can really mess up a person's bracket and keep it from being perfect. It's good to pick a few upsets every now and then. Instead of the Texas A&M Aggies, pick a team like the University of North Texas Mean Green. You probably have never even heard of them, and that's okay. Your bracket may not be perfect in the end (and you may not win $1 million for having a perfect bracket), but at least you're more bracket-savvy.

4. Pick your favorite team as well

Who says that our Tigers don't have a little fight left in them? Let's just cross our fingers and hope that they get selected for this year.

5. Just have fun!

All of the games will be played on various channels throughout the rest of the month. Just sit back, enjoy some delicious food and drinks, and expect the fact that your bracket will never be perfect. Once again, not having a perfect bracket is totally okay.

Happy March Madness! And may the odds ever be in your favorite basketball team's favor!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
