HP Weekend done right

How To Successfully Do Harry Potter Weekend
The Cursed Child

Harry Potter Weekend is the best weekend to exist. I seriously love when Freeform has HP weekends because I can cancel plans, and when people ask why all I have to say is Harry Potter Weekend on Freeform and no one asks anymore questions. My roommates and I LOVE Harry Potter. We take the whole weekend to do nothing but watch the movies. Since we are experienced HP Weekend viewers, I decided to share some of our tips to get the most out of your HP Weekend experience.

1. Stock up on snacks.

Get as many snacks as you can. We like to make cake and cookies and snack on them throughout the weekend. We also get enough food to make meals, that way we don't have to order food and don't have to leave to get more.

2. Make a schedule.

My roommates and I planned everything around this weekend. You think I'm joking. We get our homework done before the first movie comes on. We find out when the reruns of each movie are on. We find out which movie they aren't showing. If they aren't showing one, we get it ready to watch so that we get the full experience.

3. Make plans to leave the house.

OK, this one is important because you have to get outside and get fresh air at least once a day. This is important because you want to get out and interact with people who haven't spent the last few hours on the sofa with you.

4. Make sure you are cozy.

Get pillows, blankets, fuzzy socks and hoodies. Be ready to be as comfortable as possible. Also, make a seating arrangement. My roommates and I have a large sectional sofa. It rocks. But some spots are better than others, so we take turns sitting in the comfy spots. It sounds crazy, but it keeps us from getting violent.

5. Watch Harry Potter and fall in love again.

Once you complete these steps, sit back, relax, and watch one of the greatest series out there. Fall in love all over again with Harry Potter. Oh, and laugh a lot with your friends too.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
