It's the most wonderful time of the year! Happy finals week to all of my fellow sleep deprived, hungry, and burnt out college kids. The week of the year that we need to show that we haven't been completely neglecting all responsibilities all semester is finally here, and for me and probably most, it's hitting like a truck. Finals week is known to be a miserable time, dreaded by each and every one of us. However, to shed some light on our current miserable situation, here is "finals week" as a whole, as told by Michael Scott from The Office

When you decide that the 4 hour nap, reorganization of your closet, and planning out the rest of your life via Pintrest on your one (and only) reading day is completely necessary...

When, after neglecting your responsibilities all day, you finally sit down to study and realize that you don't know a single thing after chapter 1...

When your professor says "your final will not be cumulative"...

When the try-hard kid walks out of the final that you probably failed saying "that was so easy!"...

When you return to your room for the first time since you left for the lib yesterday...

When you walk into your final super confident after pulling an all-nighter, and walk out not knowing how to answer a single question on the exam...

When you make it to the middle of the week but you have 3 more exams, and Friday still seems so far away...

When it's the last day of finals week, and your only thought is...

When you finally finish your last final and get to go home for the semester and do normal people Christmas things...

Happy finals week! Good luck to all, and may the odds be ever in your favor for your upcoming exams. Remember, sleep is very important, and coffee will be your best friend this week.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
