How do you deal with fake people? It's something I've asked myself for a really long time, and think I finally have the answer to this haunting question.

What's the answer? You don't. You absolutely have no reason to waste your time on people who are not going to give you the legitimacy you deserve as a human. If someone in your life is being two-faced or fake with you, then you have every right to cut them out of your life without any warning.

I realize that a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but here's the tea: it's 2019 and no one has time to deal with fake people. We all have a million other things we need to do or could be doing, instead of dealing with people who don't know how to show their true feelings. I've got school work to do, articles to write, friends to make memories with, music to listen to, job interviews to go to, novels to plan, papers to edit; I do not have time to waste on you and your lies.

The world has so much to offer to you. There are a million other things to do. There's fresh air to breathe in and sunshine to bask under. There are books to read and television shows to binge. Places to go, people to see, memories to make. Why would you ever waste an ounce of time on people whose only interest is to make your life more and more toxic with every day that passes?

So with that, I leave you with my final advice. Block their numbers, unfollow them on Instagram, delete your photos with them. Take a deep breath and move on to the next thing you need to do. These people don't deserve another second of your time. It's 2019, baby, we're living for ourselves and positivity.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
