Thursday of this week begins fall break for NC State students, but don't let it fool you; fall break gives you a taste of Thanksgiving and Christmas break, but doesn't last long enough to really enjoy. Here are some tips on how to not let fall break get you out of your school flow.
1. Make a list of what you have to do when you get back.
Don't let this list stress you out, just let it be a reminder that this vacation is not a long one, but a brief paradise from college.
2. Come back to college at a decent time.
While everyone loves being home and getting free meals, don't stay home for dinner on Sunday night. The later you get back, the later you work on the list you have, and the less likely you are to go to class on Monday.
3. Get some work done during fall break.
I know, it sucks, but just putting in a little work here and there will make your transition less stressful and easier some Sunday.
These may seem like three obvious steps, but keeping them in mind will help you enjoy fall break, and not come back and take on all the stress you pushed off during those four short days.
