How to choose the right engagement ring?

Why is it so important to offer an engagement or declaration of love ring? When it comes to marriage proposal there are two categories of boys: those who consider it to be theater and who don't care about it and others who think it is essential to do it well.

Those who want to do it, score a point because the girls like it. Not necessarily a theatrical request like in fairy tales but just the idea that we wanted to take care of her by organizing and preparing something just for them.

It sounds complicated what I just said but I just want to say that the girls not only appreciate the request, they appreciate the idea that we took the time to do something right for them. In a word, they like to be taken care of, to be pampered not in the sense of boys but pampered in the sense of girls. It is not the same.

Pampering is the kind of word that makes you believe that there really is a language for girls and a language for boys. In short, pampering or treating, or spoiling just means pleasing the girl as she wants with what she wants even if it's not what the boy wants.

But why go to all this trouble? First because the girls like it, it reassures them, they know that the guy really loves them, that in case of illness or danger, the boy will always be there to take care of her and make her happy. This is the first reason.

The second reason is that girls share a lot of things with their girlfriends or their family. When a girl tells her loved ones that she has officially received the promise ring from her prince, it is usually the excitement at its peak. His sisters, his friends or his mother, and his aunts will ask him lots of questions like:

The more the girl will be proud of her ring, the more her face will light up with happiness while recounting this exceptional day. Gentlemen, that's why it's in your best interest to ensure when you ask for the girl's happiness.

But every story is unique, and each couple can proceed as they please!

Choose a handmade ring

A diamond ring can be found in jewelry starting from 450 dollars. The most luxurious models will be sold for between 1500 and 2000 dollars. A craft model, not necessarily more expensive, will have the advantage of being unique and can be made to measure.

Choosing the right stone

The tradition is that an engagement ring is adorned with a stone while a wedding ring will rather be in the form of a simple ring. Very often set with a diamond, the engagement ring can be chosen more original with a colored, precious, or semi-precious stone depending on the budget: ruby, sapphire, emerald but also turquoise or opal if these models appeal to you. Stones carry symbols. They can be chosen for their beauty and taste, but also the scope of their meaning in lithic language. The stone will be solitary or in a trilogy depending on the style of the ring.

Choose an ethical ring

Because an engagement is a strong commitment and a declaration of love, it should be part of a global ethical approach: be sure to offer a piece of jewelry fashioned with respect for human rights! Jewelers and jewelry stores can assure you of the origin of the stones that set your jewel.

Choose the gold that suits you

The ideal metal for engagement rings and also mothers’ rings remains gold. This can be chosen in different shades, yellow, white, pink, and even red when alloyed with copper. A choice that will have to be made according to your tastes and your audacity: bet on the classic or surprise with an original model? For the little trick, yellow gold goes particularly well with dark skin. White gold adapts to all skin tones, and pink or red gold stands out elegantly on light-toned skin.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
