Many serious health issues relating to feet, back and kness have arised as a result of the type of shoes that people wear with the greatest number affecting those whose jobs requires them to stand all day long. This can be avoided by purchasing the right kind of shoes without having to focus only on style or budget over our comfort and health.
Before you think of purchasing your next pair of shoe try to put the following into consideration.

1) choose a pair of shoes that properly fits you

Avoid ill-fitting shoes especially when having to stand for long hours as they tend to add more pressure and strain in your feet and legs causing discomfort, pain and swelling.

Ill-fitting shoes also leads to the formation of blisters due to the pressure exerted on certain areas of the foot.

2) Go for a lightweight shoe
Heavy shoes are normally made of less comfortable material and therefore are not the best choice when having to study all long. Lightweight should are comfortable as are made up of light materials enabling your feet to breath more easily all day long.

3) Choose a shoe that is flexible
Flexibility of a shoe enables you to move around more easily as they provide more comfort unlike firm shoes. Testing for a shoe's flexibility is easier as your only required to bend the toe upward and ensure it bends under the ball of the shoe.

4) Consider choosing a pair that is designed to provide comfort
When looking for a shoe put into consideration the following features as are the ones that determine the comfortability of a shoe.

* A midsole
Make sure the midsole feets your foot perfectly as it helps control motion and absorb shock.

* An achilles notch
The notch should be present as it helps rubbing nead the heel reduces friction that results to blisters.

* Appropriate toe box

This is the front part of your shoe and houses your toes. Wearing a shoe with a small toe box should be avoided at all cost as it causes sores .

* An ankle collar
This is the area that wraps around the ankle and supports the ankle thus prevents it from rubbing and friction.

*A roll bar
This feature helps reduce excess movement in the heel area of the shoe which may result to friction.

6) Choose a pair that has a good cushioning

Cushioning differ from shoe to shoe depending on its type and the activity which is meant for. For instance, walking shoes are normally cushioned on the ball of the foot. In this case, you should therefore purchase a pair that is well cushioned to enable you stand all day long without any harm.

In conclusion, its very evident that most shoes available in the marketplace today are neither good nor comfortable. This has been supported by a recent research conducted recently that showed how most people suffer as a result of wearing harmful shoes. Right precautions should be taken while looking for a pair that is comfortable with features that will offer the comfort you need for healthy feet.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
