Everyone is entitled to their own political opinion. However, if you as an individual do not happen to support Trump, you are not forced to respect him or accept that he is days away from being sworn into office. Much like groups of Americans back during the 2008 election did not accept Obama's presidency.
Every individual has a voice. You can choose to express your discontent with current American politics like generations before by protesting.
The Guardian, a U.K. news site, has published a list of protests occurring in Washington D.C on the day on and after the inauguration. Protests are a good way to make your opinions heard and to firmly stand up for what you believe in.
Can't get to Washington D.C? Plan your own protest: spread the word, make signs, march down busy streets, and have your voice heard. A powerful protest doesn't have to only take place in the country's capital, they can happen anywhere.
You can also skip the inauguration broadcasts. According to Snopes.com, whether a TV is off or on another channel may not affect ratings significantly, but it's basically a game of chance. At random, if your household is picked then ratings and viewership are more significant.
The point is that there are a variety of ways to voice your opinion. Face the reality but don't go down without a fight.
