If you are a girl, you have probably grown up being told to “be ladylike,” or to “mind your manners,” or you've even been threatened by adults that “boys don’t like girls who” do this or do that, things that boys are never told to do, or if they are, it's not a priority. But as a girl, constant pressure is put on you to be as mild-tempered and easygoing as possible. Studies have even found that in schools, boys are praised for outgoing and loud personalities while girls are praised for being obedient and kind. But you could become the perfect woman in these easy steps.

1. Be obedient and kind.

Or don’t.

2. Wear dresses.

Or wear sneakers and sweatpants or jeans and a T-shirt or whatever you consider comfy. Because how you dress does not matter. As long as you are comfortable and feel good about yourself in your clothes you will be more confident and happy.

3. Have long, beautiful hair.

Or rock the pixie, the bob, bangs, highlights, curls, ponytail, even the mullet (if your heart really desires).

4. Don’t swear.

Though sometimes it is not the time and a place, say whatever the hell you want to say. First Amendment rights.

5. Want a family of your own.

Or don’t. If a career is your main priority, good for you. Reach your goals and do not let gender expectations hold you back.

6. Clean up after everyone.

And be tidy yourself.

Or be untidy, because you probably have more important things to worry about and not enough time to clean all the time.

7. Be skinny.

Go to the gym daily and watch your carbs. And don’t forget to wear makeup to the gym duh.

Or don’t wear makeup to the gym because you know it will be sweated off. Or don’t go to the gym, period.

You could go on for days about things a woman should or shouldn’t be. But point is be you. Because being the perfect woman is about thinking that you are the perfect woman. If you're happy with yourself that is all that matters.

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
