Obviously this election is one of the most important elections if not the most important election this country has ever had. As a woman, this election was more important than ever. Women's reproductive rights were on the ballot this year. That was a stressful thing to think about possibly losing those rights. As a cis white hetero female not much else was on the line for me. I have friends and family that are apart of the LGBTQA+ community and I voted for them this year. That community also has rights on the line this election.
It was so scary to think that some of my closest friends and family members could lose rights.
I just know how stressed I was during election week and I can't even imagine the stress and feelings of fear for minority communities. I am so sorry to anyone who felt anxious and stressed that shouldn't be anyone's reality. I am hopeful that the outcome of this election will inspire change and a new chapter in America. I am thankful that we have Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to lead us and unite us. This country has a lot of healing to do. I am confident that we can come together and make this country a better place for everyone.
