Season 1: You don’t really know what you’re watching. A couple friends told you it was hilarious and you made a judgment that The Office was literally a show about an office. You assumed all the characters were idiots and it was a stupid humor as they were goofy and nobody quite knew what they were doing. Halfway through the season you’re already addicted. You realize there’s more to this show then goofy guys selling paper. There is a little foreshadowing to a love story between Jim and Pam, but Roy stands in the way.

Season 2: Thins are starting to get better. This is a funny show. Dwight may be the weirdest dude you’ll ever see on TV and WHY WON’T PAM JUST BREAK UP WITH ROY ALREADY?! You start to develop this love/hate feeling towards Michael, he can show some extremely sexist attitude that you’re not about, but maybe this will focus more on everyone else later. You start to feel like you belong here, you don’t get anything done all day and hey, who couldn’t sell a little paper?

Season 3: The seasons start to mesh together. There are some irrelevant episodes but this show will become your life. You will quote each character on a daily basis and hell if your friends don’t understand. I’m not even sure when Pam and Roy break up, maybe it’s not even this season, but whatever because you know they have to at some point and you have already made up your mind that they are close to the end.

Season whatever: Is this show honestly about Jim and Pam? You begin to love Michael and realize he really just wants to find love. Jan was so confusing. The realtor was irrelevant. But Holly. As soon as Holly came along, everything changed. Who knew they could create another character as weird as Michael. This show has changed your life and your world revolves around watching more and more. You laugh at the inside jokes and develop this crude humor most non-watchers wouldn’t understand. This new ownership is awkward but Kathy Bates is there so this must be good. Gabe is trash, he’s literally only there just to be there. Why couldn’t he leave?

Season 7: WHAT THE HELL?? Who said it was okay for Michael to leave and be replaced by Will Farrell. Terrible decision. Especially since he wasn’t his usual funny self.

Reasons “The Office” took over my life. I sat here for an hour and was able to come up with so many crucial pieces from this show. I find myself quoting random scenes and getting to bed earlier and earlier each night just to see how many episodes I can fit in before getting too tired to function. So, the question is, do I recommend “The Office” to a fellow Netflix ‘binger’? Not unless you’re ready for a life commitment. Get ready to bond with fictional characters and feel like a complete part of their life. Get ready to be on a first name basis where after you discuss a scene, you have to explain where it’s from. Get ready to run away from your responsibilities.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
