Going to summer camp for 9 years has undoubtedly been the best choice of my life; without those experiences I would never feel so prepared for college.
- Going a month without “real” food is easy
- Wearing flip flops in the shower isn’t a foreign concept
- Living with a roommate is easy; try living with 14 girls
- Walking long distances in extreme weather is no big deal
- You won’t be getting homesick as easily as everyone else
- You understand better than anyone how exciting getting mail is
- You’ve gotten used to not having a car with you
- You’ve been trained to run on minimal sleep
- You don’t make as many bad decisions because you’re used to independence
- Getting ready for classes in 5 minutes is easy
- You’re early for everything (early is on time, on time is late, and late is unacceptable)
- Making friends is like second nature
- You always have fun facts and ice breakers ready
- You understand how to deal with people
- You don’t care what people think, you do your thing
