How is subliminal messaging affecting you?

It's no secret that subliminal messaging, and all the marketing that can stem from it, is a highly valued strategy for major corporations to master. These hidden messages, that are fabricated for financial and political gain, harbor the collective independence that many influential media outlets take advantage of today. Said media platforms are backed primarily by financial powerhouses, some of which control primary banking networks and therefore have endless power to continue funding their own agendas.

I believe that once upon a time media platforms practiced authenticity and integrity, but with the ever-so-alluring temptation of the dollar, a serious halt has been placed on these priorities. However, there are brief moments of unbiased fortune telling that seem to slip through the usual agendas. Yes, fortune telling sounds mythical and childish, but very specific events are being eluded to, and eventually some are being fulfilled in real world scenarios. Could it be just a trickling coincidence, caused by a statistical fluke? Or is it done with a purpose and intended to be decoded by those who might qualify to do so? I would prefer to believe that some very wise, genuine minds have a clear vision - to inform the public, rather than keep the people overwhelmingly shrouded in darkness. I do, though, understand that not everything is so black and white. A tremendous gray area occupies the region in between cold hard facts and blatant lies.

Having a source for meaningful news, whether it is hidden behind an alternate ego, or it is publicly available to everyone, is a key to successful research and staying informed. In a time where nations are severely divided into hundreds of equally stubborn and opposing groups, a factual conversation is hard to come by. If the ideas being fed to us through subliminal messaging were fostered and approached with an open mind, the possibility of a continental awakening presents itself in exciting fashion. More and more people are beginning to latch on to these ideas. They are dropping the popular stereotype that individuals seeking the truth, despite their methods of doing so, are not just scrambled-egg-brain conspirators.

Whether you believe in the idea that an altruistic Big Brother is looking out for us by providing snippets of truth or not, maintaining your own logistical arsenal of knowledge, relating to relevant events, ensures the safety of independent beliefs and a non-conforming platform to stand on.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
