How I Spent My Summer

Summer: when you're a kid, you think it's so long. But, as August reaches its halfway point, we realize how fast the summer really goes. And, as we inch closer and closer to adulthood, we come to appreciate the summertime more and more, because we understand that we may never have vacation time like this again.

I have had a great summer this year. Did it fly by? Absolutely. But... it's not over yet. I'm going to appreciate the time I have left, but I'm also going to appreciate all the time I have had up until now.

Here's how I've spent my summer so far-- I wouldn't change it one bit, and I look forward to what the next few weeks have in store.

1. Spent time with new family members.

2. Went to as many baseball games as possible.

(Let's go Mets!)


3. Saw Justin Bieber at MSG.

4. Hiked a few mountains.

5. Went down the shore.

6. *Tried my best to* reach my daily FitBit goal.

7. Reunited with my roomies.

8. Went anywhere and everywhere with my BFF.


9. Ventured into NYC as often as I could.

10. Made memories.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
