I don’t know about you guys, but the whole having to stay inside thing has been driving me nuts, and it’s been very hard for me to not lose my ever-living mind. I’ve come up with a few things to district myself

“Let Go” Plates

During this time, we all have plenty of time to reflect on our lives, and things we’ve been through. Get a plate and a sharpie. Write down things you need to work on, fix, or any worries you may have on that plate. Then, go outside and smash that plate to represent you “letting go.” I did this with a friend of mine, and it was an amazing feeling

Cook

Food has always been on our minds during times of not doing anything. Find new recipes, and try new foods you never have before. This is the perfect time to do that! We have all the time in the world it feels like, so branch out!

Get into new music

I have seemed to get really tired of listening to the same music over and over every day for the last week, and I’m sure there’s more out there experiencing the same. So, find some new music to listen to! Maybe a genre you didn’t think you’d like, give it a try and I’m sure you’ll end up finding a new favorite song in the process!

Bible Study

Spending time in Gods word is so relaxing and can open your eyes as to what is happening in our world right now. Reading the bible and studying the Gospel will provide an outlet that won’t only distract you, but grow your relationship and faith in Christ.

Exercise

I know, the more you want to exercise, it seems as if you grow to not have enough time. But, there’s no classes, no hanging out with friends, no shopping, nothing. No excuses now! find a new workout routine to get you ready for the day this whole mess is over with.

At the end of the day, this isn’t a fun time to be a student. Try your best to remain positive! It is gonna be a while before the world around us feels normal again, but we will get through it. I promise you that!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
