Woman's Day

It’s been said time and time again, but the cliche stands true and breakfast is, by far, the most important meal of the day. It starts your metabolism, wakes you up, and provides you with the energy to begin your morning. That being said, we don’t all have enough time in our busy lives for large meals of eggs and bacon, and on some days I’m lucky if I can grab a granola bar before I’m out the door. Thankfully, there is an easy solution to all of our breakfast binds. Here’s how to prepare the perfect bowl of Cheerios.

Step one, find your ingredients. Take out a bowl and spoon, grab whatever milk is in the fridge, get out the key ingredient, honey, and most importantly, find a box of Original Cheerios. Now, pour the “O’s” up to around three-fourths of your bowl, depending on its size. Next, carefully fill the bowl with milk, just until you begin to see the white rising from beneath the whole grain oats. This should leave a layer of dry Cheerios, untouched by the milk, that later gives a nice crunchy contrast to the soggy Cheerios below. The next step is to drizzle honey over the top layer of cereal, in a specific criss-cross pattern. The goal here is to ensure that every individual morsel is coated in the sugary substance. Now, if you have some extra time on your hands, or you’re feeling a little fancy, you can chop up some banana slices to rest among the cereal. And just like that, you have prepared the perfect bowl of Cheerios.

If after all of these steps you find yourself thinking, “But it would be so much easier to simply buy Honey Nut Cheerios.” let me tell you this. Those processed, artificially flavored excuses for cereal have nothing on this homemade delectable arrangement. By preparing this perfect bowl of Cheerios, you get extra nutrients, the added benefits of a nut-free meal, and the reassurance that you’re a self-sufficient human who can make things for yourself. Overall, It’s easy to prepare the perfect bowl of Cheerios for your breakfast needs. This morning meal tastes fantastic, provides you with necessary energy, and is the perfect start to your day.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
