10 things that make you a human being

How To Be a Person

1.First off, you will revive a vessel, you will get only one -use it wisely.

2. Learn to express yourself. Not only your wants and needs-though theses things are important-but also your thoughts, and your feelings. You must find your voice. Luckily there are limitless medians through which one can find their voice.

3. Love. Love is part of the human condition, everyone will experience this in one way or another, do not fear it.

4. Pain. Pain is as essential to being human as love is. Pain is a great teacher, humbler, even motivator. But pain does not define a person, a person must get through pain to learn and grow.

5. Laugh, develop a sense of humor. Sometimes you will have to laugh at yourself, or at the world. But remember, laughter should be true, and honest, do not laugh merely to fit in.

6. Never stop learning-to stop learning is to stop living.

7. Make connections. Whether you like it or not, as a person you need other people. Do not be afraid to ask for support and be willing to give support to others.

8. You must try. Try hard, try a lot. You will need to try your whole time of being a person, so might as well try with all you got. It is more rewarding to try for the impossible than to settle for the expected.

9. You will be hated; by people you know and by strangers. People will hate you for something you do or something you just are. You will most often be hated for things that you can not help, so remember this fact and be brave enough to be who you want to be anyway.

10. Make choices. Choices show who you are and what you stand for, good or bad the choices stay with you and belong to you alone. So remember, choose wisely.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.
