Losing your uncle at a young age is hard but somehow he still plays an influence on my life. I will always remember the good times and the bad and will never forget the trips to the Jersey Shore, Florida and the numerous weekend trips he came to see me and my family in New York. At the age of 13 I lost my favorite uncle, And to this day it still hurts to think about it. But how is he still influencing me to this day?

First, my uncle death taught me to value life that tomorrow is not promised. My uncle was into 70's rock era music, He was a huge Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Eagles fan. But, his favorite by far was Pink Floyd and when he died I became a huge Pink Floyd fan. Every time the song "Wish You Where Here" comes on, I think about all the good times we had together and think what If I could spend another 20 years with him. and how much more could he have influenced me. I took his name as my confirmation name so he will always be with me wherever I go. At 16 I'm still reminiscing the great 13 years I had with my uncle and until my time is done I will never forget him.
