How I Met Your New Year's Resolutions

So, New Year's is upon us, and right about now is the time where everyone is thinking about what your New Years resolution is. Most of us will break them, some of us will keep them, but all of us will make them. Here are some of the most common New Years resolution, as told by the ever lovable but totally New Year's resolution breakers, the gang from How I Met Your Mother. So suit up, cause this post about New Years is going to be legen-wait for it...

1. Losing weight

We've all been like Marshall with bagels. We love bagels way too much. If a guy in a bear costume could attack us to prevent us from eating said bagels, maybe life might be easier.

2. Exercise more

See, that's how I plan on losing buckets of weight: dancing in the middle of crowded Canadian malls.

3. Quit smoking

I'm not a smoker, but I know this is a common one. And yes, Marshall, Lily knows you're high as a kite.

4. Quit drinking

While group bonding is always fun, drink responsibly.

5. Get a new job

Me writing any resume ever

6. Find some way to get out of debt

So what you're saying, Barney, is that I cannot pay for college with Monopoly money? What kind of crap is that?!

7. Managing stress in better ways

We all need a Patrice in our lives. We should learn how to deal with them more. Don't do that.

8. Stop procrastinating

Nah. I'll always procrastinate. The best people procrastinate. Call me foolish, then.

9. Improve on relationships

I wanna look at someone this year the way that Robin looks lovingly at this burger.

10. Just be a good person

And always be curious about the pineapples in life.

...dary! Legendary!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
