The summer is nearing the end as it is about to be August. The first half is over, and now the second half will start. However, just because the summer is almost over does not mean that there are not fun activities to do to end the summer out with a bang. Here are three fun activities going on currently that an individual can do.

Read A Book

A nice activity to do to enjoy the rest of the summer is reading a book, whether it is a memoir or a fictional novel. It is nice to enjoy a good read before starting school or college in the coming month or so. It is also good to get the brain working and to read one while being on the beach or when just sitting around at home.

TV- Shark Week

A memorable weeklong event for the summer is Shark Week. It has been going on for many years and many people watch it every summer. It is like a significant pastime in the summer. It will be a weeklong week of shark attacks and sightings caught on film. Sharks are one of the oldest and vicious animals in the world. Shark Week can be pretty entertaining at times with brand new episodes that brings new information on the creatures.

Go To The Movies

There are still some great movies to see in theaters. "Dunkirk," a war film from WWII, has been said to be a highly acclaimed movie. Movie goers can also see "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "Despicable Me 3," "Baby Driver," "Cars 3," and last but not least "War for the Planet of the Apes." Most of these movies have had positive reviews, and people should go try and see these films to end the summer with relaxation and excitement.

Go to the Beach

This is another great activity to do for the rest of the summer. It is just so appealing to go in the water or play in the sand. It is also nice to walk along the waves or eat some delicious food with a breeze. And walking on the boardwalk and playing games is also really fun.

Go on a vacation

Do you have any family members that you want to see? Or do you need to visit any friends? Going on a vacation is relaxing and can be a good way to end the summer. Regardless, of all the activities that one can do, school is a priority and it is good to get ready for it.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
