There are thousands of articles out there telling you how to live the best life possible. But, the truth is within this article. Keep reading… it’s well worth your time.
My first question is how do you want to live your life? Are you the adventurous type? Are you bold and daring? Do you go along with what your friends do and ‘wing it’? Or are you the quiet type? Do you mind your own business and keep to yourself? Are you the type of person who wants to spend their time traveling, and seeing God’s greatest creations? Or do you like to stay put in your hometown and enjoy what your city has to offer?
No matter what you are like, this article will help you live the best life possible.
Step 1: Disregard every article out there telling you how to live your life. Hypocrite much? Go ahead and think that, I’m allowing it. Isn’t that what I am telling you to do right now? How to live your life? Stay tuned.
Every day, at least one piece of information surfaces on how you should live your life. What to eat, how to cleanse, how to exercise, how to spend your free time, what to do with your family around the holidays, what restaurants to eat at, where to vacation, and so on. And every day Americans go along with what these celebrities, authors, talk-show hosts, etc. say. That is not a bad thing, not at all. But it recently occurred to me that there are people out there who have jobs that are specifically designed to come up with ideas for how people should live their everyday life. What is wrong with that, you may ask?
Well, is that truly how you want to live? I understand that people want to be healthy and fit, and live the longest they can, I’m not saying to go against that. Take a second and ask yourself what you want in life. For example, my goal every day is to be happy. Truly, genuinely happy. From the moment I wake up, to right before I close my eyes, I want to live my life knowing that what I am doing impacts the world in a positive way.
Did I have to read an article to figure that out? Of course not. My goal in life doesn’t require a certain diet, or a certain exercise plan, or even what style of clothes to buy.
What I’m trying to say, is that you don’t need someone telling you how to live YOUR life. If you want to go off of articles, do it! Absolutely, go for it. But, if you are doing it because it’s what you think you should do, then stop. Living isn’t about what you think you should do, it is about what you want to do. You’ve been wanting to go across the country and sight-see. Do it. You haven’t talked to your cousins that live in Minnesota in a couple of years. Call them. You’re dying to try that new restaurant down the street, but it’s too expensive. Well save up a little extra and go feast.
Live is way too short to have regrets. If something is bothering you, really eating at you, fix it. It’s not worth the internal fight to go against something you truly want to do. Time flies. Do you want to end your life knowing you didn’t do that one thing you really wanted to do when you were twenty? Do you want to end your life knowing it could’ve been better?
You deserve a beautiful, happy life. Whether that is doing what you want to do, or following what someone else says to do, do it. Be happy each and every day. God bless.
