The biggest struggle for college students is figuring out their purpose in life. I can't even count the number of times this semester that I've questioned my major, being in college, or just mortality. Since those mental breakdowns, I've decided to start living life to the fullest because I believe that's the only way I'll truly find my purpose.

If you want something, let yourself have it!

If there's one thing that's been grilled into me, it's letting myself have things that I want. This is worthwhile whether this means going off and buying tickets to a music festival or taking on a dream job. Take your time in college to pursue new things! Through my time in college, I've experienced almost five different majors, three friend vacations, and countless memories. These experiences have left me excited for the future. Here are five things that can help you live your life to the fullest.

1. Say "Yes" More Often

Saying "yes" will give you a chance to experience things that you would normally turn down! By all means, don't say yes to drugs or non-consensual activities, but do say yes to new adventures. I recently accepted a cruise invitation by two high school friends. I know that even though I'm nervous about it, I'm going to have a ton more memories that I'll be able to enjoy for the rest of my life.

2. Travel Everywhere

Traveling is a sure fire way to help you feel like you're fulfilling your purpose in life. I love the feeling of experiencing a new place! How many times have you wished that you were in another country living a different life? Try to actually go out and experience that other life! It's just out there waiting for you.

3. Think Outside the Box

Lately, I've been thinking about the different kinds of jobs or opportunities that are out there. Take the time to research some unusual opportunities that are available to you! I recently discovered that I can get a job on a cruise ship as a bartender. How cool is that?!

4. Keep In Touch With Old Friends

I'm forever thankful for my forever friends. While right now they tend to be my party buddies, I know that one day they'll be connections to the professional world.

5. Make Mistakes

I love knowing that I can make mistakes and still grow from them! Don't ever let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
