Learning another language is the same as seeing life from another perspective. We live in a global world where there are over 5,000 languages. Everyday people become more aware of how important it is to learn a new language. Even more jobs post-college want you to have another language under your belt.

The WiFi, your smartphone and your laptop all contribute to creating a global world where you can speak with someone anywhere in the world. In the past it was not necessary to know a second language because you could only speak with people near to you. However, this has been changed recently with how much the internet has expanded our horizons. In order to meet new people, to interact with them you should know their language.

The more languages we know, the more culture we will have.

Many people have a wrong idea behind learning another language. Some think it is just learning words, but it is far more than that. Learning a second language means you're discovering another culture, which has it's advantages and disadvantages. You can meet new people, figure out new ways to do the things and learn new traditions. As a result, learning another language is more than just learning words you're learning an entire culture. Learning another language lets you see the world from a different point of view.

Learning another language opens more doors for you. You can move abroad for a career, it makes it easy to travel and you have a leg up on everyone else when applying for a new job. It shows how motivated you are and how you are willing to take on a problem from different viewpoints. Most jobs today even require that you know a second language to help their company grow. Learning a second language helps you as a person grow and become more open minded. Take to your phones and find an app that will help you learn a new language. Some of the top apps to help you learn a language are Duolingo and Memrise. Give them a try!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
